Though authorities eventually stepped in to rescue the animals, the trauma they endured ran deep. Among them, Moka was the weakest. He needed emergency veterinary care right away, including oxygen support and a blood transfusion just to stay alive.
At the clinic, Moka's condition was heartbreaking. Malnourished and suffering from severe skin disease, he flinched at human contact—his short life had taught him to expect fear, not affection. While some of the other pups started to recover and found loving homes, Moka remained behind, too fragile and overlooked.
