It was early morning when the heartbreaking scene unfolded. A mother dog, later named Muhammad, lay motionless on the wet roadside. Insects crawled over her tail, and her body burned with fever. Nearby, her puppies clung to her, weak and vulnerable, unable to understand the danger they were in.
Muhammad was barely able to move, yet she still tried to nurse her babies. Exhausted and frightened, she watched anxiously as her rescuer began lifting the puppies into a car.
Her fear was clear—she was terrified of being separated from them. But when she, too, was gently placed inside, her body relaxed. She knew she wasn't being abandoned again.
